Outdoor Learning

P4A have been learning about the Celts and today they built miniature roundhouses. They worked in small groups to gather, design and build their roundhouses. Great discussion and tremendous teamwork ensured successful learning. Great job kids!

We are unique!

P4A have been learning that everyone has similarities and differences but we are all unique. It was lovely to hear the children shouting out positive comments to their classmates about what they feel makes that person unique. Working in groups, they then created a unique friend by drawing a different part of the body and sticking the parts together. Finally they thought about what makes them special and proud. I have to say I was proud as punch – what a brilliant class! Ellie and Mariella enjoyed sharing their learning at assembly today.

Goodbye David

Today we said a BIG good bye and good luck to our friend and classmate David. We wish him well at his new school and we hope he lets us know how he gets on! We miss your big smile and chats already…

P3b talent show!

P3b were asked what they would like to do in their last full day of school. They chose to have a talent show. We had singers, artists, footballers, gymnasts and dancers. Well done P3b! We ended with some music, dancing and a ‘flossing’ competition!

P3b dancers

Well done to Sadie, Lauren, Maria, Alice, Amy and Maya who participated in their highland dancing end of year show yesterday. They all had a great time and are very proud of the medals they earned.

P3b brave storm Hector!

P3b faced an additional challenge in their cycling training with very strong winds. However they all showed a great determination and worked hard in their session. Some pupils who had never cycled before showed great resilience, not giving up even if they fell over! Thank you to all the people who organised and ran the cycle training.

P3b sharing their learning

P3b had fun this afternoon creating ‘fortune tellers’.

They very carefully followed the instructions to make them and then put questions inside to assess their learning from our woodlands topic. Their favourite part was definitely testing them out at the end!

Well done P3b!

The Sciennes Bake Off 🍰

Some of the lovely P3A children and their parents baked some delicious rhubarb cake using the rhubarb which was harvested from our Sciennes garden. Thank you for baking – we have loved tasting the yummy cakes 🎂🍰!
